This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and Studio Music and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Phillip has been teaching piano lessons since 1981. He has performed solo jazz piano gigs for more than 20 years and has a wide variety of solo arrangements, which includes standard and pop/rock tunes. This piano teacher has also composed a number of original compositions. Philip has played in a variety of duos, trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, and big band gigs. His performance styles include everything from early jazz to fusion to rhythm and blues to contemporary Christian and more. For decades, Philip has been a piano accompanist for many jazz and pop vocalists and ensembles, classical vocal and instrumental ensembles, and a wide range of church services and Catholic masses. This piano teacher has received the "Best Keyboard Artist" award and a “Preservation of Jazz” award for his creation of music programs. His scope as a piano teacher and piano performer is wide, and his teaching style comes from his heart.
