Our piano teacher Ava, in Moon Township, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has an Associate of Science in Music Technology degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Ava has been teaching piano lessons since 2019. In her career, Ava has performed as a soloist at various levels, including as a featured entertainer for Robert Morris University, and as a solo competitor for the PA Federation of Music Clubs. She has performed solo work as a hired musician for many years for entertainment and demonstration purposes. Ava's career has featured a wealth of ensemble experience in her role as a collaborative pianist. She has performed with more than 20 ensembles in all styles, including worship music with the St. Philips Church, and a litany of symphonic, jazz, and orchestral works. As an instructor, she has instructed large and small ensembles, such as quartets, trios, and duos of varying instruments. As an accompanist, she has performed regularly with numerous performers, including the Carlow University Theater Group for their speak-easy soloist lineup, the "Vocality" jazz vocal ensemble, and solo performers of the Music Teachers' National Association. She has accompanied numerous solo instruments, including violin, cello, and trumpet. Ava also has a long history of musical theater performance experience. She has performed the books from four Broadway musicals as both principal and supporting pianist/keyboardist, including "Legally Blonde," "I've Got Rhythm," "The Wizard of Oz,” and "Mamma Mia!”. In addition, she has in-depth experience with the production side of music, having begun synthesizer performance as a competitive marching band keyboardist. After several years of independent digital audio workstation study and experimental electronic composition, she went on to deepen her understanding of audio production by earning her A.S. in Music Technology. Ava has a wide variety of musical experience both on and behind a stage, and she is particularly well-versed in both solo and collaborative piano performance.
