Jorge: Online/Skype Piano Teacher
Our online/Skype piano teacher, Jorge, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 8 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jorge has been teaching piano lessons since 2010. He has performed extensively as a pianist throughout Spain, Europe, and the United States and has received instruction from a wide range of notorious world-class pianists. Although this piano teacher did not begin serious piano training until he was 17, he went on to win ten first prize awards in national and international piano competitions for young musicians. As a professional musician, Jorge actively collaborates with chamber music and opera ensembles both as a piano accompanist and rehearsal pianist. He also works with actors, singers, and dancers in musical theatre as a piano accompanist for dancers and vocalists and as the music director. Although his strongest training has been in classical music, Jorge has played nearly every style and variation of jazz, rock and roll, pop, and incidental piano music. The experience of serving as a rehearsal pianist for musical theatre and opera productions has helped him develop strong sight-reading and improvisation skills. These skills, along with his passion, empathy, open mind, and varied collaborative experiences, make Jorge a flexible and helpful piano teacher.
