To qualify for a job teaching online piano lessons, your online piano teaching setup must be approved as suitable for our online piano students. Your camera angle for online piano teaching must allow you to show both your face (when speaking with your students) and your hands at the piano/keyboard (when demonstrating for students), as follows:
This can either be a flexible/moveable camera setup for two different views as needed, or a single view, as long as both of these elements are possible.
For demonstrating, the camera angle must not be a reverse-image (i.e. not from behind the keyboard) and must allow the student to see your hands at the keys clearly, so it can't be a low angle below the level of the keyboard.
The camera should not be hand held / shaking, and should be positioned securely in place.

Jobs for in-person piano teachers teaching from home:
Our jobs for in-person piano teachers with home teaching spaces or studios offer a slight advantage, as the majority of our students request to travel to their teacher’s location.
To qualify for a job teaching piano lessons at your home or studio, your teaching space must be approved as suitable for our students. It should be a clean, tidy, well-organised area, free from distraction, and must not be in your bedroom. Studios may be approved over a Skype video call, by a pre-recorded video, or in-person, as the case may be.
Location is a factor for home-based piano teaching jobs; centrally-located teaching spaces and those in areas with higher-income households tend to be at an advantage. It can also help if you are located in an area where we do not yet have other teachers - explore our map to see how you fit in with our current roster of piano teachers.
Jobs for in-person piano teachers teaching at students’ homes:
Although most of our in-person piano students request to travel to a teacher’s location, we get a substantial number of requests for home visits on an ongoing basis, and have jobs available for travelling piano teachers to meet this demand.
Jobs for piano teachers travelling to students’ homes are often geared more towards teaching families with children, though we also have some adult students taking piano lessons in their homes.
Travel radius is an important factor for these piano teaching jobs. The further you are willing to travel, the more potential students we will have for you, however the greater the travel time the less you will be earning per hour. It is important for you to balance these considerations when applying for our jobs for travelling piano teachers, as you will be setting your own travel radius.

However, it is worth mentioning that our business is focused on online piano education, and we have rejected job applications from top-tier classical pianists when there have been hints of overconfidence, unfriendliness, or any apparent lack of adaptability to students’ needs.
